Listed Barn Conversion

Planning permission granted for this partially collapsed, beautiful, listed barn.

Listed Barn Conversion

We are currently working on restoring this beautiful, but partially collapsed and listed barn.

By working with Historic England and heritage specialists, we have obtained planning permission. It has been an unusual case in planning terms, testing policy. We are proud to have helped ensure the restoration of this important barn.

Our team are worked closely with a structural engineer and timber specialist to evaluate what can be kept and what will need to be re-built. We have tried to retain as much as possible of the original fabric. We will also be insulating using breathable materials and re-pointing using lime mortar. These measures are essential for retaining the breathability and therefore the longevity of the existing stone walls.

This is what it currently looks like! We have quite a lot of further investigation and restoration to do!
