This was a community village project to build entrance gates to the village of Helmdon. Clare Nash volunteered her services to prepare a design and submit a planning application. A local stonemason made the plaque from Bath Stone and a local builder built the wall using reclaimed Helmdon stone.

It creates a lovely focal point and welcomes people into Helmdon. It also should discourage people from leaving litter when using the layby.
