Rebecca came to CNA with the plan to create a community oriented small cafe. She planned to host craft workshops, book club, art groups, selling books and local produce as well as wonderful coffee! Based in Bridgnorth in an existing shop in a Grade II listed building.

Change of Use to a Cafe

CNA worked with Rebecca to obtain planning permission for change of use to a cafe from a shop and gain listed building consent. Space is limited in the cafe, but ingenious solutions with layout and window seating have created a lively, cosy cafe area downstairs. A workshop space was incorporated upstairs and shelving in the downstairs cafe holds books for sale, half of all profits are donated to charity.  CNA also obtained Building control approval for the cafe. This involved liaison with Environmental Health and the Local Authority Conservation Officer.

Bec’s Coffee is now up and running in Bridgnorth on St Mary’s Street.

Pop in for a lovely coffee and cake! Visit the cafe Facebook page and follow on twitter
