This is barn conversion refurbishment project currently under construction. The existing barn conversion had a dark wood stair case and an odd shaped landing above taking up a lot of space. This made the space feel cramped and dark when you walked in, not the kind of entrance you would expect to this lovely barn. The new layout has turned the landing into a gallery bridge with a lovely sweeping stair crafted by Dean Radcliffe at Radcliffe Joiners. By moving access to the bedrooms to the rear and removing a store room, the resulting entrance space is full of light and gives a real sense of space. This combined with the superbly hand crafted stair which includes LED lighting strips create a real wow factor when you arrive. The bedrooms to either side on the first floor will each have their own en-suite behind sliding wardrobe doors, adding extra storage. New photos will be added once the project is finished.
Clare Nash Architecture is now working on a new oak glazed porch to make an even grander entrance to this lovely old barn.
